■ Part 1: 미라지는 어디에 있고 무엇인가? Dual Mirage는 손혜민이 기획한 국, 영문 독립 출판물이다. Dual Mirage는 다양한 작가, 건축가, 디자이너 등의 참여자와 함께 도시 공간 안에 스멀스멀 나타났다 없어지는 미라지의 정체를 탐구한다. Dual Mirage는 세 개의 파트로 구성되며, 서울과 런던을 오가고, 각 파트의 출판물과 그에 연관된 이벤트가 결합되어 있다. Dual Mirage Part 1의 참여자는 모두 똑같이 단 하나의 질문을 받는다. "지금 이 순간 우리는 어떠한 미라지를 보고 있는가"라는 질문에 대해 참여자는 자신의 반응, 대응 혹은 대립의 입장을 결정한다. 정해져 있는 구조나 테두리 밖에서 참여자의 열린 해석과 시선 저편에 미라지가 출몰한다.

■ Part 1 Event Dual Mirage 론칭 이벤트는 라이브 강연과 퍼포먼스로 이루어진다. 디자인 연구자 박해천은 '미라지는 어디에 있고, 무엇인가'에 대한 의견이 약 40분간의 강연으로 구축된다. 작가 윤주희가 기획한 퍼포먼스는 Dual Mirage 출판물의 가이드와 미래파 선언문의 동시통역이 함께 진행이 되며, 이는 전혀 다른 시대, 다른 배경으로 생겨난 미라지가 어떻게 일상적인 언어와 행동 등으로 재현되는지 실험한다.

Now, close your eyes and imagine a vast desert. It',s the middle of a hot summer, with all travelers on the highway heading to their destinations. Under the strong sun, the asphalt on the highway is blazing, and everything is refracted. At that moment, we see a mirage. The cars are starting to leave the highway! Please fasten your seatbelts, our speed is about to increase. Now we will experience a true fantasy. Our new city! Our hope on the horizon, our dream and our happiness! Our mirage!

■ Dual Mirage Part 1: Does a mirage actually exist? If so where is it and what is it? Dual Mirage is an independent publication in both Korean and English organized by Hyemin Son. It will explore the identity of the Mirage that appears and disappears in urban spaces, with various participants: artists, architects, designers and theorists. Dual Mirage consists of three parts, and incorporates events spanning from Seoul to London, and in–between, that are related to each part of the publication. Participants of Dual Mirage Part 1 are presented with the core question: What kinds of mirage are we faced with at this moment? The participant chooses how to respond to this and finds one's position. Dual Mirage Part 1 aims to be a platform to consider the relationship between urban space and urban space design from various angles. Within the question, it explores specific concept around a mirage as a metaphor. While the participants openly interpret the question outside of existing structure and boundaries, a mirage appears on the side of their own answer.

■ Part 1 Event The event of Dual Mirage Part 1 consists of both lectures and live performances. The invited speaker, design theorist Haecheon Park will address the question of "Does a mirage actually exist, and if so, where is it and what is it?" in the form of a lecture, which will be conducted for about 40 min. It is followed by performances directed by artist Juhee Youn. The performances will be with a guide to the Dual Mirage publication and borrow from the Futurist Manifesto, offered with simultaneous interpretation. Youn's Performances consider how a mirage created in a different generation and is reproduced into an everyday language and routine.
